RUSSIAN SKY MAY CLOSE FOR ARMENIAN PLANES

From October 1, Russia may stop providing air navigation lines to the national airlines of CIS member countries, including Armenia, for their debts. According to Mediamax news agency, the press release spread by RF Transport Ministry’s Press Service said this. Particularly, it says that on September, RF aviation authorities officially informed their CIS partners about their decision to stop providing air navigation lines on October 1, in case the debts are not paid. According to the press release, the debt of the current Armenian air companies amounts to $5,9 million, while the companies that stopped functioning have $2,68 million. The Armenian side accepted its debt and expressed readiness to find ways for the solution of the issue in the course of the negotiations between the Russian and Armenian aviation officials, on September 9.
