The company's plans
Hungarian budget air carrier Wizz Air is successfully expanding in the Polish market. Thanks to the increasing revenues in Poland, the company announced plans to double the number of flights from the Pyrzowice airport on the outskirts of Katowice. "We plan to increase the Katowice base and double employment," revealed Jozsef Varadi, Wizz Air president. He went on to say that the company plans to service around two million passengers this year, half of which will be using the airport in Pyrzowice. Last year the company flew 650,000 people. The Pyrzowice airport is doing its best to live up to the increased interest in its services, and therefore finalized the construction of a new terminal last year, which according to the airport's director Michał Faryna, will soon have to be enlarged further.
