Czech company purchases 3rd portion of Baku-Supsa oil

The Unipetrol Refinery company of the Czech Republic has purchased this year's third portion of Azeri Light profit oil to be exported by the State Oil Company (SOCAR) through the Baku-Supsa western pipeline in March. This is the 40th portion of the Azeri Light profit oil produced by SOCAR from the Chirag field as part of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) project. The consignment, totaling one million barrels (140,000 tons), will be loaded to tankers from the Supsa port of Georgia on March 10-11, SOCAR told Azernews. British Glencore purchased the first consignment of oil (1 million barrels) exported via the western route in January. Another British company, Arcadia Petroleum, bought the second portion to be exported through the Baku-Supsa pipeline on March 3-4. SOCAR exported a total of 7.2 million tons of oil through the western route in 2004.
