Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, sent to the G20 summit by President-elect Barack Obama. afterward met Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. And he reached out to Obama, saying he hopes he'll try to repair bilateral ties badly strained over the war in Georgia and Washington's missile defence plans. The Russian leader has called on the EU to work with him on a new security pact.
